Curb appeal is incredibly important when you're selling a house. Whether it's the first look people get when they look at a house online, or when they do a drive by, the house has to look inviting to make potential buyers want to come in.
So that might (or might not!) explain why I'm agonizing over a fall wreath for the front door. I bought two of them, but just can't make up my mind. So I'd love your input. Which do you like better? Left or right?

I think the one on the right - it looks more substantial, and you need that beside the mailbox. Otherwise it could get a little lost
ReplyDeleteI like the one on the left.
ReplyDeleteI like the one on the left... the fuller one. I think the other one looks skimpy in that space.
ReplyDeleteright
ReplyDeleteWell I like both but maybe the one on the left .
ReplyDeleteI like the one on the right - it has more color pop!

ReplyDeleteThe one on the left.
ReplyDeleteThe left.
ReplyDeletePrior to reading the text of the post, I thought you were going to mention that the dead bolt and lockset weren't the same finish as the house numbers, mailbox and light fixture. You might not notice from the curb, though. :)
Ha ha. It's a really nice, solid brass lockset that came with the house. And since I'm not a fan of matchy-matchy, I like the mix with the oil rubbed brass accents (and of course the mailbox has brass highlights on it!).
Deleteleft
ReplyDeleteLeft is more formal, Right is more whimsical!
ReplyDeleteI like right. I'm guessing this exercise is not helping!
ReplyDeleteYou're right!!! And everyone is coming up with the same thoughts I have. I like them both, but for different reasons!
DeleteOn the right. It doesn't overwhelm the door.
ReplyDeleteThe one on the left...a substantial door...needs a substantial wreath. :)
ReplyDeleteThe right...I agree the one on the left is too over whelming...too chunky... LOL
ReplyDeleteThe right...the color pops!
ReplyDeleteThe right...the other one is nice, but so formal. The right has a warm feel.
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't have them side-by-side, anyone would probably agree either look nice & would be fine. But since you present them as you do, I think the right looks "classy," in the way you decorate all your projects! The left makes the door look a bit top-heavy. Enjoy following your blog & watching you breathe new life into these wonderful old homes!
ReplyDeleteLeft
ReplyDeleteThe right pops more.
ReplyDeleteI'm with the left, based on size. Both are great colors.
ReplyDeleteLeft
ReplyDeleteYou know, at first I was going to say Left, because I like it's shape. The more round, consistent shape with the softer leaf things pleases me.
ReplyDeleteBut looking closer, I rather like the color of the red/orange one on the right. It feels more like "Fall" than the one on the left, and it's very true that it's smaller shape doesn't take over the door completely.
I like the bittersweet on the right :)
ReplyDeleteRight
ReplyDeleteI agree the left looks a little top heavy, but the fuller wreath with tidy edges looks better overall. Maybe it could be balanced with a brass kickplate? Love the door color
ReplyDeletethe right --the color looks so good with the blue door
ReplyDeleteThe right one will def make more of an impression from the 'curb,' as well as, bringing out the blue in the door!
ReplyDeleteI always prefer a wreath with a looser feel, so I like the one on the right. If you keep the one on the left, try hanging it slightly lower (as the right one is). They both are nice and substantial!
ReplyDeletethe right
ReplyDeleteThis little blog request is going to make it worse for you:) That being said I LOVE the one on the right.....Love the color pop, the loose whimsical feel.....good luck. I did good on the help you asked for with the paint choices:) haha.
ReplyDeleteLove your updates....keep them coming!
Haha... this is what you get for asking!
ReplyDeleteOn another door/house, I'd go with the bittersweet (right), but on this door and with that mailbox, I'd go with the more substantial, more formal one of the left. Move it down a bit lower though.
So much for crowdsourcing, huh?
I like them both as well but I think the right pops more. The color is more vibrant and seems like it draws you in more than the left one although the left one is really nice too. You can't go wrong with either one.
ReplyDeleteLove the one on the right. The color pops and it looks cleaner and more chic. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the orange sprigs. the leafy one looks like it came out of someone's attic - they actually remind me of styling that was popular in the late 90s.... fyi left/right were switched between Feedly and the website...
