This is typically where I show 'before & after' photos of a finished room. But, because the entire second floor is new construction, there really isn't a 'before' to show. And while we love old houses, new construction provides the perfect opportunity to create a full Master Suite - something that you don't usually find in this neighborhood.
With it's south/west exposure, this room gets lots of light. It's a large room, with space for a queen or king sized bed.
The walk in closet has a built in storage system along one wall and room for lots of hanging clothes on the opposite side.
The master bath features a marble mosaic floor, dual flush toilet for water efficiency, and a shower system with built in bench.

Pretty! As someone in the real estate biz, I think it will appeal. You may get some people who want a bathtub too (which they will probably only use 1-3 times a year) but I think the space will overcome that objection.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me about your shower? I want to redo ours. Is the bottom a pre-fab with tile going up the wall? If so where did you find it? Thanks for the help - looks great!! We have one of the jacuzzi tubs and I want it OUT. It's never gets used - a plumber told us they are terrible for septic tanks.
ReplyDeleteWe had a jacuzzi in a house several years ago......it spit out lots of nasty stuff from the jets on the rare occasions that we used it. A shower is so much nicer! I ordered the Akers shower base from my local plumbing supply store - the shower is by a company called Akers.
DeleteLove it! It has such a warm feel to it. I would love to have a light, airy room like that (and the bathroom, too).
ReplyDeleteThat is truly lovely. Nice staging.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Such fun to watch the transformation. Can you tell us a little about how you tricked out the closet? Is that off-the-shelf, "custom" or custom? :) Really nice in any case!
