Is it crazy to take 3 rooms and turn them into a primary suite? Seem logical to me - I love this space! With 4 windows, it's so light and bright and the multiple spaces give it lots of architectural interest.
Here's the color scheme we're using. All the walls are White Flour, by Sherwin Williams, with trim painted a soft taupe throughout the house. The window valances are a soft blue and green, that we've used in multiple places throughout the suite.
Let's start with the bedroom portion of the suite. This is a large space that's big enough for a king or queen sized bed. We painted a blue feature wall, to give it a little more interest. It's Sherwin Williams Stardew.
I'm really excited about the primary bath. I tiled the shower and the alcove behind the vanity - that's the first time I've ever done a bathroom wall and I LOVE it!!! The white vanity pops in front of the tiled wall and I love the visual interest it creates.
The folks from Hour Glass got our shower glass installed last week. So much nicer than a shower curtain!
The walk in closet has lots of hanging space, drawers and shelving for the homeowner's wardrobe. It also has a window, which provides natural light for choosing your outfit for the day. And I just love the pulls that Rich is installing on the built in drawers. But my favorite space? The reading nook in the front of the house. It's not a large space, but the sunlight streaming in every afternoon makes it so warm and inviting. And there is also a wall of storage, because in an old house you can never have too much storage!
This space is just about done! Now to get the rest of the house done.
I love it! All of it! I would buy this home based on just the primary suite.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are soothing and pretty. Hope no one paints over that nice stenciled wall!
